Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY

Audio Technician primarily works with Pro Tools systems to record and edit the voice portion of all Third Millennium Ministries’ productions. Recordings take place in 4 languages in the Casselberry office— Arabic, Chinese, English, and Spanish. All adjustments to the microphone, studio set-up and recording system will be made by the Technician.

The Technician will also be responsible, during all recording sessions for audio Quality Control. This means carefully listening for background noise from the outside environment (large trucks, neighboring offices, etc.), as well as for talent-related audio issues (breath impacts, dry mouth, waning energy). At times the technician will also be responsible during English recording sessions for monitoring the script for mispronunciations, dropped words and incorrect emphasis.

After recording is complete, the Technician will perform the majority of editing (content, timing, EQ, and clean-up). Language skills in Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish will be helpful, but not necessary. From time to time, additional audio (sermons, lectures, etc.) will need to be converted into web-friendly formats for download from reformedsermons.org.

Other functions and duties are performed from time to time to facilitate the smooth operation of the ministry. Any additional skills the Audio Technician brings with them will be welcomed and utilized.
